Because of Him

What a glorious Easter Day!

After being incredibly taught and spiritually fed all day by a Prophet and Apostles of God while watching General Conference again, we ended the day with a family dinner. We had the Fosters, Frenchs and Texas Ginns over for dinner and a great Easter egg hunt. The kids really had an fantastic time.

Meanwhile I felt overwhelmed all day with a sense of hope and peace that this celebration of my Savior's resurrection brings. Like Elder Holland so beautifully said today: "So today we celebrate the gift of victory over every fall we have ever experienced, every sorrow we have ever known, every discouragement we have ever had, every fear we have ever faced — to say nothing of resurrection from death and forgiveness for our sins"

On this Easter Day, and all others, I know that my Redeemer lives! I testify that He is risen!

Because of His resurrection, His atonement, His teachings and His perfect example I have so much to be thankful for on this beautiful Easter Day!

Because of Him I too can live again. Because of Him I will be shown mercy and given grace. Because of Him I may once again live with my Heavenly Father and my earthly father. Because of Him I can be with my sweet girls for eternity. Because of Him one day my Riley's broken body will be made perfect. Because of Him my broken heart can be healed. Because of Him I do not have to face my trials alone. Because of Him I can be strong enough to overcome any challenge put in my path. Because of Him I can transform my weaknesses. Because of Him I can have lasting peace. And because of Him I can celebrate a beautiful Easter Day with the people I love most!

Of my Saviors great sacrifice, Elder Holland said "That first Easter sequence of Atonement and Resurrection constitutes the most consequential moment, the most generous gift, the most excruciating pain, and the most majestic manifestation of pure love ever to be demonstrated in the history of this world.”

Because of Him...

Happy Easter!
