No Tricks, Just Treats

We had such a fantastic Halloween yesterday! I dare say it was simply magical!

It was not my favorite thing to have Halloween on a Monday, and I sure wish we could wear our costumes to school! But festive and happy girls are my favorite!

Riley's amazing teachers practiced trick or treating with their whole class by taking them around the school. They  really think of everything to prepare these kids for life! The very best part was they set up Riley to use a big button to push that said "trick or treat!" After school they helped us record Keagans voice saying "trick or treat" on it and we were SO blessed to take the button with us all night! This was the first year ever that Riley could communicate "trick or treat" on her own and it was absolutely wonderful!!

After an early pizza dinner, thr girls couldn't get in their costumes fast enough! Keagan was so excited I let her wear make up. Man my babies are darling!

Then it was time to get down to the business of the day so we headed over to the Riesbergers to trick or treat with our sweet friends. Their smaller, gated neighborhood was absolutely perfect! We were able to do the whole neighborhood in an hour and a half, they have sidewalks, it was safe, and all the neighbors were nice and generous with much more then just candy! We were offered drinks, chili, cupcakes, etc. and no wonder because we were a seriously cute bunch!

Great weather helped make the night even more fun! Keagan and Sam ran to each door. Riley usually got there just in time for the candy, and after about 5 houses using her walker, Betty was happy as punch in her stroller eating m&m's! Miss Nikki and I enjoyed the little kid pace, the weather, and creating sweet memories with our joyful kids! See, magical?

After we left the Riesbergers, eventhough we should have gone straight home to bed on the school night, we just couldn't let the party die! That meant stops to see the Fosters and the Frenchs were in order of course!

And then it was home to sort and relish in the crazy amount of candy we collected! No wonder I ended up carrying the girls pumpkins the last 5 houses cause they were literally full to the brim! Sweet Riley really had been determined to carry it herself but just couldn't hold it any longer. These girls worked hard for these treats!

So Batgirl and Doc McStuffins went to bed way to late and woke up late this morning. But it was completely worth it! We had a fantastic Halloween 2016! Apparently Riley loved it so much that she has been sleeping in her costume (again tonight) and there is glitter from it all over the house! I actually dont really mind it because it makes her so happy and reminds me of all the fun we had!

See, that's pretty magical!
