Our original plans of going on Thursday were thwarted by the rain in the forecast. And we had no idea Wednesday's were half price days. So seriously the entire city of Houston was there today! Everyone! It was INSANE!
After we had our traditional corn dog/turkey leg lunch we waited in line for 25 minutes for the girls to ride their first ride. Keags tried to tell me that Riley wouldn't like the Wiggly Worm and I didn't listen. So poor Riley cried through the entire ride and Keagan scolded me at the end. After we got in the next insanely long line I broke down and bought fast passes so we could actually ride some rides and use our prepaid carnival packs. We spent the rest of the afternoon getting in some games and rides before tuckering out early. The highlight was probably the Super Slide which the super Aunt Sa took Riley on. But the shoulder to shoulder people made things a little less festive then our usual rodeo trips! And don't even get me started on my porta pottie experience! We couldn't even bring ourselves to stand in line for our traditional deep fried Oreos! We settled for dip n dots and cookie dough on a stick dipped in chocolate.
We still had fun, it's almost impossible not to at the rodeo. But it wasn't as great as in years past. Im proud to say we made the best of it and walked away thankful we had such a great trip there last Monday night!
Distracted by the bungee jumper!
This sweet girl! She asked a million questions today but was so sweet and concerned about her sister!
