Today we took our time getting here and then had a really relaxed beach afternoon. The Texas Gulf isn't even comparable to the beaches I used to frequent in Hawaii, and unfortunately the seaweed is out of control right now! But we will take what we can get that's affordable and close to home. And we can still have a great time!
It's vacation! And the beach!
And something that makes it even sweeter is this is the first time Riley has ever WALKED on the beach! Last summer when we went to Galveston, Riley was still scooting on her bum! As I watched her literally run around today being so independent, it just made my heart soar! And Keagans happy smile, the sea breeze and a comfy chair made it almost perfect!
She was SO proud of her seashell!
And now they are wiped out! Riley was so tired by 8:00 she was crying in the bathtub! Hopefully tomorrow she will take a nap at the beach! And I just might have to join her!
Ahhh....vacation!
