Today we got several more tests ordered, new scripts to continue 6 private therapy sessions a week and a new medicine to try for the drooling. After our thorough exam and conversation, Riley needed several X-rays to check her hips, her spine and her leg length. Of course Riley gets extremely defensive and defiant anytime you lay her on her back in a medical setting because of all that she has been through. So when I laid her down for three of the X-rays she was hysterical as I knew she would be. And FYI, no mom should have ever had to pin their child down and sing songs over their cries as many times as I have had to! But more importantly, no child should have ever have been needed to be pinned literally hundreds of times over her short little life. Makes my heart ache!
So now the good stuff. After the agonizing pinning time was over and I had Riley in my arms, she intentionally HIT THE NURSE! It was hilarious and not so hilarious at the same time! We have a strict no hitting rule but I can't say I blame the girl!
After the appointment we went to one of my favorite sushi restaurants just a black away. Who doesn't love sushi brought to you on a conveyor belt? Riley sure did! She chowed on rice, a hole half of an avocado, crab and she loved the eel! I was so proud! But I shouldn't be surprised! She worked up an appetite with all that fighting!
