Mormon VBS!

My brother's Ward (LDS Congregation) in the Woodlands did a Vacation Bible School this week and it was absolutely incredible! We were blessed to be included so this week was heaven for Keagan and Riley! They absolutely love VBS but this time they got to do it with their cousins and with a Mormon spirit to it!

I was so impressed with how well all the volunteers from their Ward pulled such an awesome week together for 120 kids! The theme was "Home Town Nazareth" and the kids learned all about what it was like when Jesus was on the earth. They dressed in costume and were each assigned to one of the 12 tribes of Isreal. Keagan and Riley were with Campbell in the Reuben tribe and Kennedy was one of their youth sherpards.

Through out the week they went to different shop keepers set up around the church to learn something new about Jesus and do an activity. There was a carpenter, a rock quary, a market, oil press, Mary's house, and others. Aunt Kari was the rabbi in the synagogue and Riley was not havin her wig and beard!

The girls made tons of new friends and loved doing the VBS songs and dances! Even I felt the spirit when I would come a little early for pick up each day! What a fantastic week and great way to start winding down summer by focusing on our Savior and building more great memories!
