Flippin Fun

More fun at the Texas Cheer gym tonight with Gamas! This time Kellie, Addie and Ashlyn wanted to come and the cute Monson family and Gracie and Maddox all made it a party! Man that place is fun!! And the kids love the pizza picnic that goes along with it!

For the first time tonight Riley got in the foam pit and Keagan figured out how to do a flip into it! Good times!

What The Doctor Ordered!

Today was one of those "wow, I'm so overwhelmed and I really need to get it together" days. So this precious note from Keagan totally made my day!!

I'm in red and she's in pink and purple of course! Love her hair!

She also made one for Riley!

Just what the doctor ordered!

Poor Riley!!

Miss Riley was so miserable last night! With a fever of 102.7 and throwing up, I felt so bad for her! Just breaks my heart to see my baby like that!!

After a doctors appointment this morning and a long nap for both of us who didn't get any sleep last night, she was feeling much better! I'm hoping tonight goes much better and that this was just a minor 24 hour thing. Cause I'm not sure I can take any more of this sad face! The tear in the cheek just about does me in!

Creating Memories

After a rough day (I have a stomach bug that kept me up ALL night!) there is nothing like a Pakka breakfast for dinner and a game of Charades and Ha with your entire family! Good times with everyone together! I'm not sure my girls could have had more fun! They just love being with their cousins! And I loved that we were all together!Isn't that what it's all about?

Hip Hip Horray!

Hip, hip, horray!
Our Chicago cousins are here to stay!
Only for two days.
But we will take em any way!

So my rhyming skills aren't nearly as great as visits from the Chicago Ginns! Cousins are the best!

They played hard all day! Swimming, painting and a birthday party for Campbell! Most of the adults even got in a great kid free dinner!

And now they are exhausted! Just how I like em!

Tears for Team Riley

Today was Riley's last ARD at Brill. That means it was the last time I got to sit around with all the members of Team Riley there and talk about how amazing she is! That's seriously what we did. And then we set her goals for next year.

We also cried! Because this is the end of two incredible years working with some incredible people! It was really just Principle Hernandez, Miss McGown and I that cried. Now those are two women whom I adore and respect so much!

When I texted Miss McGown afterwards that I got in my car and cried some more, she was so sweet and amazing as always! And when I posted that I cried some more to Miss Hernandez on Facebook, her sweet response was... "You and Riley have touched my heart like no other parent and child have in 17 years of education. I love you two dearly! It's not over. It's a new chapter!"

I couldn't have said it better myself!

Sob!

Story Time

Tonight I asked Riley if she wanted to pick a bed time story. Well apparently she couldn't pick just one!

She was seriously in the playroom by herself for three whole minutes and managed to totally bury herself! What a mess! Now where is the clean up crew?

Keagan's Last Day!

This was Keagan's third year at John Wesley Child Development. We have made so many dear friends there and she has learned so much! So today, her last day of preschool (EVER!) was a very bitter sweet day!

On the last day they had a pizza party for lunch and then a big dance party with all the graduating classes, which Keags loved! They jumped around and were silly to Frozen songs and "Happy". She brought her journal home that she has been contributing to all year and a book full of her drawings from throughout the whole year! That books front cover is her self portrait from Sept 13. And the back cover is her self portrait from May 14! The difference is incredible! She also got a photo book filled with fun pictures from throughout the year! What fun keepsakes to cherish of these sweet and simple times!

We will always be so thankful for all her friends, teachers and her growth at JW! They gave her a great foundation to build on! And now she's ready to fly!

Oh the places she'll go!

With Miss Shawn, the Director.

With Miss Karen, the Assistant Director.

With Miss Carey, administration.

With Miss Reeves, such a great teacher!

With Miss Harding, another fantastic teacher!

Congrats balloons from mommy and one for her sister.

Looking ahead...

Sounds Familiar

"And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.

The Book of Mormon, Mosiah 24:14

So thankful He makes my burdens light! Without Him I could not bare them. But with Him, anything is possible!

Crazy Cousins!

On nights like tonight when after dinner we have to kick all these girls out of the kitchen into Sa's room because their giggles are too loud, I am super thankful!

Love all of them so much!

Day of Rest

On some Sundays in particular I am thankful for the commandment to keep the sabbath day holy and have a day of rest. Today was one of those days!

After we attended our brand new ward (congregation) this morning for church, the Gleannloch Farms ward, and had lunch, all three of us piled onto my bed. After some giggles and cuddles which are my favorite, I laid on my bed for an hour and a half smooshed between the two cutest little girls on the entire planet. Riley was snoring away on one side and Keagan was playing games on my phone on the other side. I switched between watching the two and counting all of the bazillion things I love about them!

It truly was a simple and special little mommy moment! And one where I think was just what The Lord was talking about for a day of rest!

Showcase

Miss Keagan had her gymnastics showcase this morning! She's been at Bannons Gymnastix since September and has learned so much! And she got to show it off with a bunch of other cute kids today!

I was so proud of her! Her teacher actually decided she needed to be grouped with the higher level girls then her class for the showcase. I was slightly worried because they were asked to do stuff today that she has never done. And she did so great on each of the events: bar, beam, vault and floor!

I loved being able to see her smile and be proud of herself for her hard work! She earned that cute shirt and trophy today!

With her Coach Miss Jessica...

With one of her two biggest fans! Just a little hint, I'm the other. Riley actually loved watching and clapping for her sister! So sweet!
