Dayna Hernandez was our amazing principal at Brill and is now our incredible principal at Mahaffey. They don't come any better then her, we all adore her and now she has been promoted and will be leaving our school. She is such an incredible woman whom I am so thankful for! So I am very sad for us, but very happy for her!
The good news is my babies are rocking their new school! They are both doing so great! They have both been tremendously blessed with the most incredible teachers!! I seriously am in awe of all of them! Both girls absolutely love them and are just thriving!
Just today Keagan was SO excited that Mrs Noble took them outside for science to do the Coke Rocket experiment and Riley had a great report too! After Mrs Merillat read a story, Riley went to the big touch screen and answered three reading comprehension questions correctly! Riley is getting SO much more instruction then she ever has before as they are following a specific curriculum and have a big variety of work for the kids to do. Plus she's getting good one on one time and excellent help with her communication! See? We are SO blessed!
And the cherry on top is their teachers post pictures and videos on Twitter! It's my favorite! Even though I'm at the school with them, I'm busy working, which I am loving too by the way! So it's so great to see these!

Painting their pieces of a school wide art project that is phenomenal! Both girls classes were assigned different purples to paint and then the incredible Mrs Thompson weaved them all together!
And I just love our cute little group of some of the Staff Kids that meet in the library after school and play so nicely together until we force them to go home!
Even with sad news we are blessed, blessed, blessed! So proud that Keagan and Riley have adapted to change, made new friends, and are learning and thriving! They just rock!
