We were at the park when it opened so we could sign Keags up right away for Jedi Training. She has been talking about this for weeks but without knowing what to expect she got nervous and almost backed out this morning. I had to make her still participate and afterwards she thanked me for that! A group of kids who had also signed up all got dressed as Jedi in training and then went on a parade through the park. Their leader would yell “here comes the Jedi!” and the 30 kids would yell “here we come!” Once at the temple they did their training with master Jedi’s, opened the temple with the force and then each got to fight Darth Vader himself! It was all acted out so well and really great! Keagan was trying so hard not to smile ear to ear and did an awesome job when it was her turn to fight with her light saber! What an incredible experience that she almost missed! Good thing momma knows best and I’m sure Keagan would agree!
Riley would not have liked the Jedi Training but she sure loved the breakfast we had at Hollywood and Vine! We were so excited to have breakfast with Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Handy Manny and Jake the Neverland Pirate! Seriously so fun to meet them even though Riley was terrified of the two boys and loved Sofia and Doc of course! They were darling so Keags loved it too! The icing on the cake was that the breakfast buffet was delicious! Who doesn’t love those iconic Mickey Waffles?!
We did Star Tours, one of my very favorites Toy Story Mania and then went to the Disney Junior show which I was kind of embarrassed to know all the words to every song and which Riley was in heaven!
Of course Riley got her face painted and of course we met TONS of characters! Some of the characters were faves for each girl. Olaf, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, BB8, Kylo Ren and Chewbacca! So fun! We also watched the march of the first order and Keags was crazy close to some storm troopers!
Keagan went on Rockin Rollercoaster with her dad but seriously regretted it afterwards. She has loved rollercoasters this trip but that one is seriously fast and goes upside down several times! But she is a rockstar so it fit. After they went I decided to go by myself and loved it but....
I missed something HUGE! When I was waiting in line for the ride I could see over a fence and saw Mary Poppins. I knew Keagan wanted to meet her so I texted Travis that would be a good thing to do while they were waiting on me. Well little did I know that back there in the Sunset Showcase is a little known thing unofficially called Character Palozza! And not only did Keags and Rys get let in but they closed it down for them! They shut the gates and ALL of the characters came over together to meet Keagan and Riley!! Along with Mary Poppins and Burt but also Snow White, Jasmine, Tiana, Donald, Pluto, Gepetto and Pinocchio! They all even took a group photo!! I can not believe I missed it but I am SO excited the girls met all those characters and made that awesome memory! Absolutely amazing!
Then it was the awesome Beauty and the Beast Show where we sang along, some fun with several of the “citizens of Hollywood,” dinner and on to the incredible Fantasmic water and firework show!
Thanks to that incredible Genie Pass we had awesome seats of course and loved the last show we would see! Since so many of the characters are in that show it was a fantastic way to wrap up our Disney days! We got to see the Star Wars fireworks from the parking lot so that we were ready to go and stopped for a slurpee at 7-11 since we don’t have those. Pina Colada, yum! Keagan feeding Riley her slurpee in the car was pretty priceless. Once we were home the girls stayed up playing and took another long bubble bath! They had so much fun in that jetted tub this week! Miss Keagan was being so sweet to her Sister and insisted on tucking her in which included a Mickey Mouse puppet show and sweet kisses!
Today was another fantastic day and I can’t believe how great everything has gone! After I do my nightly blog I am left to pack which is one of my least favorite things EVER! And our massive pile of souvenirs and gifts we’ve collected is quite comical! Good thing I brought that extra suitcase like they suggested! And good thing today was such a great day at Hollywood Studios!
