Even my calendar is crazy for May! And this is without my work schedule and before I added a couple other things on there!
So as you can see we are all sorts of busy! Hopefully most of it is good, enriching, building better little people and making memories kind of busy!
The girls have been rocking their swim classes at FINS! Keagan has the most beautiful freestyle and backstroke I ever did see and Riley is doing great learning to float on her back and stand up after going under! Mister Cody sure is amazing with her!
Keagan had her last tennis club lesson. She has really loved playing and showed off her awesome ball handling skills to us the other night! Plus it has been so convienent to be right at Mahaffey after school but still taught by outside professional coachs! She also made some cute friends in the process!
We also had our very last Speedy Scotties running club last Friday! It has been a really great experience with so many helpful and supportive kids of Riley and the incredible Coach Fox! It was early on Friday mornings but it was awesome! On the last day the kids did a big obstacle course and then everybody got their lap completion award, a shoe tag and a spirit stick!
All 2nd graders in running club
An awesome group!
With the incredible Coach Fox! And yes Riley is wearing her spider legs from her musical costume! She wore them for days including sleeping in them!! And when I put my foot down and did not let her wear them to church, she brought them in her scripture bag!
This past Saturday we had an absolute blast and a dream come true at BYU Cougar Fan Fest! How lucky were we that they came to The Woodlands?! We met the Ginns there to make it even more fun! I was seriously star struck meeting coaches Kalani Sitake, Ty Detmer and especially Reno Mahe! We also got autographs from the players and Keagan and Campbell met Cosmo!! Seriously dream come true! Keagan threw the football some and possibly the best part was getting the absolute best chocolate milk ever made from the BYU creamery! Go Cougs!
Afterwards we had lunch with the Ginns and then brought Campbell home with us. Somehow those crazy girls talked me into taking them to the splash pad fully clothed! For the first 20 mins at the splash pad I was a good, engaged mom. 5 minutes into me being a lazy mom sitting in the shade looking at my phone and Keagan gasps and yells "Riley!" After my heart drops I look up to see a VERY proud Riley standing on top of the tallest slide all by herself just giggling away! I was so proud and so worried at the same time that she got up there all by herself!
We had a great family dinner celebrating Nana and Sa's birthday!
Keagan went home with Audrey last Friday and had a perfect play date with Lauren and Avery! What cute friends!
We loved honoring our teachers for teacher appreciation week and I LOVED being pampered with meals, gifts and even a massage for the teachers week! Look at all the staff kids in 2nd grade who love their teachers!
We had fun playing with the huge Clifford costume from Miss Taryn's job at Scholastic! I'm guessing this was against company policy!
The girls have had a blast at maker space making balloon animals and drawing robots! And Keagan is super proud of her giant that she made in math using measurements.
Riley and I had a long day at Texas Children's Heart Center this Tuesday. When this sweet girl was first diagnosed with dialated cardiomyopathy, we made the trek to the TCH Heart Failure clinic once a week! Over time the appointments have been spread out and after this awesome visit we were bumped to once every 18 months! We are SO thankful for these amazing doctors and nurses and for answered prayers!! Don't worry we still see 10 other doctors on a more frequent basis so we will still be at TCH. What a miracle this kid is!! And she does it all with a smile of course! To celebrate such a great appointment we went to ride the choo choo train!
And honestly there has been so much more! Not pictured is me hosting an online party including a live show for Miss Taryn's LuLaRoe, Riley preparing for her dance recital, tumbling, Riley's therapy, Keagans practice for talent show tryouts, Nana having dental surgery, church stuff, etc! And we aren't even half way thru the month!
Isn't it June and summer yet?! Cause I'm tired! Very happy, but tired!
