When you’ve never seen real snow, making a snow man is a huge bucket list item! So that was a must for this trip to really complete the whole snow experience! We went in Sa’s backyard and built the cutest little short and fat snowman you ever did see whom we named Mr Frost. If I’m being totally honest we cheated just a little and I did what I do best! I bought a snowman kit on Amazon! Sorry not sorry because he was adorable with those cute little felt arms, fake coal and nose pieces, etc. But all the actual snow part was 100 percent us so it still totally counts! He was adorable until the afternoon when Keagan was thrilled to demolish him! But don’t worry we saved the amazon snowman kit for next time! After finishing Mr Frost we had more play time in the snow and akeagan stomped out “we heart u” in the snow!
Todd, Sami and Addie joined us for lunch at the restaurant I worked at for years in college, Tucanos Brazilian Grill. Unfortunately Sa hurt her knee and stayed home to rest. Even though Tucanos was in a different location now, so many things including all the recipes were the same so it brought back so many fun memories that made my heart and definitely my tummy happy! It was absolutely delicious and I even got both girls to eat a chicken heart with me! We had a blast!
Then it was onto Provo and BYU which brings back so many nostalgic and fun memories for me and just excites both Keags and Rys. We stopped at the stadium, drove thru Provo and then walked around campus. Our main stop was the BYU bookstore to stock up on spirit wear! Both girls spent the rest of the Christmas money that their dad gave them! Riley immediately found a cheerleading uniform and would absolutely not put it down! I pretty much had to force her to pick another shirt to get also. Keagan searched for just the right sweat shirt and T-shirt with Addie, Sami and Todd’s help and then they both ended up with stickers for the hydro flasks and small Cosmo stuffed animals. We closed our Provo adventure with seeing the Provo Tabernacle temple which was gorgeous of course!
After we got back to the Fosters, Riley immediately wanted the cheerleading uniform on and Keags wanted to demolish Mr Frost. We packed up and tried to soak in as much time as possible with the Fosters! Todd and Addie took us to the airport but not before we accomplished the last thing which was on our list! We stoped and visited with Aunt Mary, Uncle Gary and Rebecca which was so nice! We ate dinner at Market Street Grill at the airport and got on our plane just absolutely exhausted but with ridiculously full hearts! The baby behind us cried the whole way, none of us could sleep and we didn’t even land til after midnight! Shout out to the Frenchs for picking us up! But nothing could ruin this amazing trip for us!
As of tonight, we are unpacked and the last load of 6 loads of laundry are in the dryer. And my heart is so full! Oh we just had SO! MUCH! FUN!!!! We crammed in a ridiculous amount of amazingness basically into 4 days and we absolutely cherished the time with our family! What great memories we made! Coming home was definitely sad as the reality of the Fosters living so far away was even more real now and I’m not sure when we will see them next. But the fact is we will see them and hopefully that next time together will be as awesome as this time was! But hopefully we get some sleep before then cause we sure need it!
Thank you Utah. Thank you Fosters! Thank you snow, the rest of our family, BYU, the temples, the great restaurants, the amazing views, and more. So glad we came and conquered. We will be back!
