Walk With Me!

This post will be a photo overload. Because frankly there are no words in the  english language that I could write to describe it. What a day!!

The Easter Seals of Greater Houston "Walk With Me" event was finally today! It was a big day and a big deal! Is it dramatic to say that it was one of the most fantastic days EVER? Because it was!

Riley the ambassador, Keagan the team captain and me the mom were joined by Nana, the Fosters, the Texas Ginns, the Frenchs, Gamas and Coach, the Brewsters, our pediatrician Dr Reed and her husband, the Rackleffs, and from Brill Mrs Benita, Mrs Davis, Mrs Artman and her two kids and Mrs Keller and her husband! We had 29 team members in all, gorgeous weather, the zoo and a fantastic event! All the parts of an equation for amazingness!

Riley did a fantastic job as ambassador! She was one of the 3 ambassadors of the event. When Gina Gaston from Channel 13 introduced her to the over 3,000 walkers she smiled waved and did a twirl in her oversized tutu that momma made for her and Keagan. She also did great helping cut the start ribbon with gigantic scissors! She was just SO happy to have so many of the people she loves most in this world all in one place with her! Not to mention they were all wearing her tShirt!! She got lots of hugs, snuggles and giggles all day. I'm pretty sure she was in heaven!

Keags did a great job as team captain as well! She kept her "leadership skills" to the occasional "TEAM Riley is leaving now" when she felt we were done looking at a certain animal. She was also a good cheerleader and hostess for the team as per her goal. I'm so glad she knew she was very important today too!

A few of our team members did a fantastic job and actually completed the whole 3 laps around the zoo for a 5k. The rest of us walked, chatted, laughed and joked as we stopped to look at animals. We briefly went to the after party where my girls and even Nana showed off their serious hula hooping skills and then we all met and had lunch at Cracker Barrell.

As we left, my heart was so full I thought it may burst out of my chest! I am beyond thankful for this wonderful opportunity and to do it with all these wonderful people that I love! Like really, really love! Each of them, others who donated but didn't walk, everyone who bought a shirt, and an incredible amount of people that love and support us are a huge blessing from the God I love! And today itself was a gigantic blessing as well! We will all forever cheer on this special girl and her team captain sister.
Go TEAM Riley forever!
